Tom Holland is all set to portray the iconic video game character Nathan Drake in the upcoming ‘Uncharted’ movie.
The 24-year-old Hollywood star took to Instagram on Thursday, where he shared a photo of himself in costume as young Nathan Drake in the forthcoming film adaptation.
“It’s nice to meet you, I’m Nate. #uncharted,” the ‘Spider-man’ actor wrote in the caption.
The photo shows Tom Holland pictured wearing a pair of cargo pants, a roughed-up top, and a leather backpack while standing in front of some ancient wooden ruins in what looks like a jungle setting that’s similar to the one in the PlayStation-exclusive ‘Uncharted’ video games.
Some more pictures were shared by the game’s official social media page, with one image showing Tom Holland chatting on set with Nolan North, the original actor who voiced Nathan Drake in the popular video game.
The video game series debuted in 2007 with ‘Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune,’ which follows Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who travels around the world.
Filming for ‘Uncharted’ previously began in March but was halted due to the COVID-19 virus spreading globally.
Directed by ‘Zombieland’ filmmaker Ruben Fleischer, the film also features Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan along with Antonio Banderas, Sophia Taylor Ali, and Tati Gabrielle in key roles.
‘Uncharted’ is scheduled for release on 16 July 2021.
