Change in Indo-Pak relations compels 'Sarhad Paar' makers to change portions of film!

The much-delayed SARHAD PAAR, which had got held up due to intermittent problems between Sanjay Dutt and the producers, is likely to get released soon with the film now being complete and Sanjay Dutt agreeing to complete the dubbing of the film. The film was ambitiously launched at a time when India and Pakistan were at loggerheads and a war between the two countries seemed inevitable. But the time lapse and the change in relations between the two countries, led director Raman Kumar to review certain anti-Pakistani portions in the film. "Some changes had to be made in keeping with the new situation. For instance, earlier the film portrayed terrorists operating from Pakistan but that has now changed. We also introduced a Pakistani actor, Fakre-E-Alam in the film as part of the change. Either way, it was always meant to be a film against terrorism and not against Pakistan," says director Raman Kumar.
Incidentally, the forthcoming A.T.H.W.S. also portrays the terrorists at work against the changing face of Indo-Pak relations.
