A Mumbai court Monday deferred for a day the hearing of filmmaker Kaizad Gustad and two others arrested in connection with the death of assistant Nadia Khan.

Gustad, director of "Mumbai Central", line producer Ashish Udeshi and his assistant Hardley D'Mello have been arrested in the case.

Police custody ended Monday. The railway court had to decide on granting bail or extending police custody.

Metropolitan Magistrate P.T. Rahule had said on June 10: "The bail application would be considered after the expiry of the police remand."

Nadia Khan, 27, a Pakistani-born British national and second assistant director of the movie was knocked down by a suburban train on May 25 while shooting near Mahalaxmi station in south Mumbai. She died at the Nair Hospital here.

Ayesha Shroff, wife of Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and executive director of "Mumbai Central", made a statement and deposited the negatives of the film to police.
