Gustad, crewmember remanded in judicial custody

Filmmaker Kaizad Gustad and crewmember Ashish Udeshi were sent to judicial custody here Thursday in connection with the death of British Pakistani Nadia Khan.

Gustad and line producer Ashish Udeshi will be in the lockup till July 1, the Railway Court here said.

The two have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder for the death of Nadia Khan, who was knocked down by a train at Mahalaxmi station here while shooting for Gustad's film "Mumbai Central" May 25.

The film's crewmembers initially said Khan was hit by a truck, but later confessed that a train had hit her.
