Mumbai, June 24, 2004… Fun Republic, the Young-Adult Entertainment Centre at Andheri (West) held a special preview of the Gaurang Doshi Productions 'Deewaar' on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 7 pm. In the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshaye Khanna, Sunil Dutt, Kay Kay, Amrita Rao and the complete team of Deewaar. The movie is scheduled to release on June 25th, 2004. This was the first time that an entire multiplex had been reserved for the screening of a movie.

The movie star cast includes top stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshaye Khanna, Sunil Dutt, Kay Kay and Amrita Rao. Directed by Gaurang Doshi, lyrics by Nusrat Badr complement the music score, which has been composed by Aadesh Shrivastava.

Dusting away skepticism regarding the current cordial Indo-Pak vibes, producer Gaurang Doshi affirms that his movie is neither jingoistic, nor are there any instances of Pakistan bashing. Contrary to public belief; Deewaar attempts to break down the 'hatred walls' between India and Pakistan.
