Pakistani actress Meera, here to shoot for Mahesh Bhatt's film, was at her diplomatic best as she dealt with the touchy issue of India-Pakistan relations.
Acclaimed in Pakistan as a beauty on par with the reputation of Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai in the India, Meera was the centre of attraction for the media and producers at the Apsara Awards nomination night.
She was introduced by Subhash Ghai on stage. But soon the audience saw Ghai pulling her leg without any provocation.
Later, while Meera was giving interviews, an unknown man intervened and started speaking loudly to Meera and in front of the camera about India-Pakistan relations.
Meera sure looked embarrassed but gracefully thanked the strange man for his comments.
Said to be one of the top rated actresses in Pakistan's Urdu cinema, Meera said she had accepted Bhatt's film, to be directed by Soni Razdan, primarily because she believed in strengthening the ties between the two countries.
