Innovation is clearly the buzzword in Bollywood. As actor Saif Ali Khan is rumoured to be exploring the possibilities of going a step further and becoming a co-producer rather than merely taking distribution rights of his films, he has inked a unique deal with Sony Television.
Under the agreement, the star on the rebound will appear in the TV serial "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin", which enjoys the highest TRP ratings, in exchange of publicity for his latest film - "Hum Tum".
Saif will appear in a episode to be telecast May 27 (just a day before his movie's release May 28) as his onscreen character of a cartoonist Karan Kapoor.
In his cameo role, Karan Kapoor is invited to visit Gulmohar House by Jassi for a debate on his viewpoints that 'Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus' as expressed in his comic strip in the film "Hum Tum" that costars Rani Mukherjee.
"Hum Tum," which has made a distinct impression on account of its unique promos and peppy music, will gain free publicity in the bargain.
