Music director Anu Malik is on cloud nine these days. The reason being many producers who are queuing up at his doorstep to sign him day after day. The list of producers and directors who have signed him on the dotted line are endless ranging from Tips, Venus and T-series to Vishesh Films, Raj Kanwar, Ekta Kapoor, David Dhawan and "five other makers", with whom he is currently negotiating. But the one that he is truly excited about is Gurinder Chhada's next film MISTRESS OF SPICES, which she is co-producing with husband, Paul Mayeda Berges and Deepak Nayar and being directed by Berges.
Malik is said to have been paid the highest ever price he has received for any project. "I wouldn't like to comment on the price though it is very promising but I am looking forward to composing the sound track for the English film, which will be a very unique one with Indian and international artistes," says Malik.
The other interesting news is that Malik has been approached for an interesting role in a film by a known filmmaker but he does not want to disclose the news yet. "I have been asked not to reveal the news yet. Actually the filmmaker saw me in the program, INDIAN IDOL on Sony and thought of a role that he has specially written for me," says Malik, who is quite thrilled about the assignment.
