Tanuja Chandra to start 'Hope and a little sugar'
By Manisha Deshpande
Director Tanuja Chandra is all set to start her next project, an English film, 'Hope and a little sugar', an intense film against the backdrop of the post 9/11 phase. The film according to Tanuja is an Indian film with American collaboration that will be shot entirely in New York. "Its a company in New York which is producing it with Indian partners. The film tells the sensitive story of how the 9/11 tragedy affected the lives of normal people who had nothing to do with it. It will be shot with Indian characters," Tanuja reveals, adding that the makers have given her a lot of creative freedom to experiment with the subject. "Since the film is an independent film not affiliated to any studio one can afford to be off-beat," she explains. She is particularly enjoying the scripting sessions on the net, where the entire concept and parts of the script were initially approved. "I would say that the film has progressed on the internet so far. I signed the film on the internet and even the script approvals have been taking place on the net. I'll be finalizing the cast and leaving for the shoot in the next few months," she reveals.
