Director Prakash Jha has announced his decision not to bow down to the objections raised by Prasar Bharati against his documentary 'LOKNAYAK.' "I have been writing to them for an early screening of the film but they have asked for changes which are unacceptable to me. I will not allow the creative mutilation of the film," Jha says. According to Jha the question of having a theatrical release for the film does not arise at this stage since DD paid him a price of Rs 1 crore for the film. "They have paid me my full price. Now the ball is in their court, provided they screen the film exactly as it is. The most I can do is to have private screenings of the film for friends and well-wishers," he says.
Jha is now looking forward to his Ajay-Nana-Bipasha starrer, 'APHARAN', a subject that revolves around the "culture of kidnapping," as he puts it.
