Parashar asks C.F.S.I. to upgrade children's film budget

Director Pankaj Parashar has asked the C.F.S.I. to upgrade the budget of the children's film that he is planning to direct, failing which he may not go ahead with hit. It may be recalled that the C.F.S.I. chairperson, Raveena Tandon, had recently said that the decision to pass Parashar's film was a major achievement for the body, since it had reinforced her plans of bringing about a qualitative change in children's films.
Parashar was recently said to have been allotted the highest ever budget sanctioned by C.F.S.I. for making the children's film. However he feels that the budget is hardly sufficient for the kind of film that he is planning. "I don't think it is extraordinary by any standard. I am having meetings with C.F.S.I. officials and a clear picture will emerge soon," he disclosed, adding that the budgetary limitations of C.F.S.I. were a major deterrent for most film-makers.
