The press meet of the much talked about action comedy QUICK GUN MURUGAN that stars the Telugu superstar Dr. Rajendra Prasad as the Indian Cowboy was an affair that was reminiscent of true filmy style.

In keeping with his on-screen image in the film, the protagonist arrived at the venue riding his favourite white horse much to the media's delight. The film, which attempts to give the country its new comic superhero, is all set to release in three languages on the 28th of August.

The film which is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, who earlier directed the film WAISA BHI HOTA HAI 2, has taken fifteen years to see the light of the day. Speaking about QUICK GUN MURUGAN, the director says, ''I had conceived this film fifteen years back but failed to translate it on-screen since there were not many people who wanted to produce it. Though, everyone liked the story of the film but no one wanted to dabble with this subject. Finally, after waiting for so long I got an opportunity to make this film which is already creating waves for its new comic superhero portrayal.''

The film also features southern sensation Ramba, who plays the role of the seductress Mango Dolly.

Speaking about his new act, Dr Rajendra Prasad, who plays the protagonist QUICK GUN MURUGAN added, ''My character may be inspired by the Hollywood westerns, but it has its own sensibilities that fit the Indian milieu well. I would call this act as one of my most challenging roles of my career.''

The music of the film is creating ripples with Mika's Tamil Remix already become a rage. Now, with the Indian audiences all set to welcome their new superhero QUICK GUN MURUGAN, let's hope the film lives up to its hype.
