Is Rohit Shetty turning out to be huge competition for Priyadarshan? If one looks at the young man's track record over last few years, it pretty much appears to be the case. Just like HERA PHERI, even ALL THE BEST had a slow start at the box office. However, as days progressed over the weekend, the film has turned out to be huge. Looking all set to be a safe venture for sure, it now has to be seen how far does it go at the box office?

In the past, Rohit Shetty has delivered successful films like GOLMAAL and GOLMAAL RETURNS, both being laugh riots in their own right. Even SUNDAY was a well made product and though it wasn't a hit per se, it wasn't a loss making preposition either. Clearly, other than Priyadarshan, it is Rohit Shetty who is fast rising as the most reliable film maker when it comes to comic genre. Now with ALL THE BEST, he further reaffirms the point that when it comes to zany urban comedies with a dash of style, glamour and oomph embellished into the presentation, he is simply the best that we have today.

To think of it, ALL THE BEST is a difficult film to make. It takes quite some hard work to keep the essence of a one line story intact without making it look stretched. In this context, credit must go to the team of writers that Rohit has at his disposal. For a movie that has mistaken identities as its central theme, there is always a risk of the script going wayward mid-way or the scenes turns repetitive. However, to the credit of Rohit Shetty, each and every scene in the film has at least one laugh worthy moment that makes it memorable.

Let's make a declaration here - ALL THE BEST is clearly director Rohit Shetty's best work till date. He successfully comes out of his own shadow of GOLMAAL and GOLMAAL RETURNS and manages to make a film which could well lead to many more sequels in the offering. With Priyadarshan's last couple of films like BILLU and MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP not quite making a mark at the box office, it would be veteran film maker's acid test with DE DANA DHAN which is releasing this November. Till then, it would well be Rohit's turn to collect all the accolades coming his way.
