Gone are the days when success really meant rave reviews or creative achievement or audience adulation or films going packed-houses. Now a movie's success is determined on the basis of its collection at the Box-office irrespective of the content or audience liking or the reviews. And what is the benchmark? Well, the so-called '100 crore club'! If the movie crosses the mark, then it is counted amongst the hit films of the year. It is self-proclaimed as the most liked product around. The filmmakers, producers and actors take full pride in shouting from the roof-tops, if their film has touched or even nearing the 100 cr club. BANG BANG: The Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer is a recent case in point. Though the film was slammed by the critics, audiences too were disappointed after the huge expectations, the makers went ahead and bragged about the film being a big hit in the market by spreading the word that the film raked in 200 crores in 5 days!
