Reliance BIG Pictures' production WELL DONE ABBA is all set to hit the March 26th, 2010. The fun-filled WELL DONE ABBA is directed by Shyam Benegal.

Shot in Hyderabad the film stars Boman Irani, Minissha Lamba in pivotal roles along with Sammir Dattani, Ila Arun, Sonali Kulkarni, Ravi Kishen, Rajit Kapur, Ravi Jhankal and Yashpal Sharma.

The music of the film is given by Shantanu Moitra. Ila Arun, Swanand Kirkire and Ashok Mishra have penned the lyrics.

Armaan Ali, a driver working for a Senior Executive in Mumbai, goes on leave. He wants to find a match for his teenage daughter, whom he's left with his brother Rehman Ali and his wife Salma. When Armaan returns to work after 3 months his young employer wants to sack him.

But Armaan Ali has a story to tell. The story he tells is a humorous and often hilarious account of the events and happenings that delayed him from returning after a month. He avails a government scheme to dig a well in his agricultural patch. Things spiral out of control so much so that the Government is about to collapse! The question remains, how true is this compelling story!

The film is a political satire that veers from the farcical to the often witty and sharp but largely ironic comedy without losing sight of its central theme that deals with the many development projects that the government has initiated which frequently get hijacked by systemic corruption. Among the high points of the film are the brilliant performances of the actors and the pulsating, lyrical and melodious songs composed by Shantanu Moitra.

Character Sketch:

Armaan Ali (BOMAN IRANI)

Armaan Ali is a chauffeur working for a Senior Executive in Mumbai. He is a widower and has a feisty teenage daughter Muskaan Ali who stays with his brother Rehman Ali and his wife Salma in a small town Chikkatpally near Hyderabad. Armaan Ali is a timid yet a god-fearing honest man who believes in keeping everyone happy even if it is at the cost of his values and principles. He is the quintessential God's fool, but eventually decides to take a firm stance in life, which may change some things forever.

Musakaan Ali is the spirited teenage daughter of Armaan Ali who stays with her uncle and aunt in Chikatpally near Hyderabad. Unlike her timorous father, Muskaan is an educated and empowered girl who does not shy from calling a spade a spade. She also shares a bitter-sweet relationship with Arif Ali, a young garage mechanic in Chikatpally.

Arif Ali is a motor mechanic who works in his father's garage. He is often made fun of on account of his limp. Arif gives up his studies and job in Hyderabad to come back and support his ailing father. He finds a friend and confidante in Muskaan Ali.

Salma Ali (ILA ARUN)

Salma Ali, played by the veteran actress Ila Arun is a loud-mouthed brash aunt of Muskaan Ali. Along with her husband, Rehman Ali, she does petty thefts in and around Chikatpally and swindle people. Her brother-in-law Armaan Ali is fed-up with her constant lies but gets entrapped every time.

Inspector Srikant Reddy (RAJAT KAPOOR)

Inspector Reddy, a bumbling cop, gets posted at the Chikatpally Police station by his father-in-law so he could make a fortune by taking bribes, but he is quite the contrary. He does know what to do about the weird cases that he gets everyday at the station and a nagging wife at home who constantly draws comparisons between her successful father and worthless husband.
