She is a fiery and gutsy journalist who, in her fight for truth, loses everything - innocence, love, career and friends, but never loses hope.

Atul Kulkarni plays Vinayak Mane, a conscientious crime reporter who has no tolerance for page 3 type of journalism. Initially, he is annoyed at having Madhavi reassigned to assist him. However, she eventually wins his respect.

Boman Irani plays Deepak Suri, the editor of a leading daily newspaper. He is a kind and affable man who, inspite of feeling exasperated by a rebellious Madhavi, is genuinely fond of her. Deepak Sun represents the good yet weak and ineffective face of rank commercialism which has defaced the noble profession of journalism.

Upyendra Limaye plays Inspector Arun Bhosle, an honest cop who pays a very high price for his integrity. His symbiotic working relationship with Vinayak Mane is a paradigm shift from the corrupt society which they, ironically, serve.
