Nupur Asthana does it again. After MUJHSE FRAANDSHIP KAROGE, her debut film, which captured the youth and their moments, her latest, BEWAKOOFIYAAN, is a believable, light-hearted love story.

It captures the love and life of two 'climbing up the ladder in their early years' lovebirds. It also puts into light their strong love for each other with the slight imbalance in earnings (girl earns more than the boy) which is no big deal and the relationship of the girl with her father.

The father here is hands-on. After the death of his wife, he ensured that along with his job, he spent enough time with his little daughter, playing dad and mom to the hilt. That sacrifice he made early on in life is reflected in the way the girl behaves towards situations. She is firmly grounded, respects men and is an emotional rock!

Obviously, with a bond such as this, the father is bound to be upset when the girl decides to get married to a boy of her choice. Father wants to see his daughter well-settled with a man with a huge bank balance and a steady income. Money is everything according to her dad, but the girl believes in love and the one she loves.

However, dad agrees to 'screen' the boy before giving his final nod. Girl has no option because she loves both men.

Mayera Sehgal (Sonam Kapoor) requests her fiance Mohit Chadda (Ayushanmn Khurrana) to comply with what her dad, V K Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor) suggests. After all, she believes that love will triumph.

Sonam as the 'accommodating in love' and fully mature girl is terrific in her portrayal as Mayera. Hotness is how her boyfriend describes her, every time they meet. 'Hotness' she is on screen. It's so rare to see natural beauty on screen today, with every other heroine looking like the other one! More importantly, director Nupur ensures that Sonam displays all the attributes of an emotionally stable child who has had a sound upbringing.

I was wondering whether the pairing of Ayushmann with Sonam would work. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the two hit it off on screen. The 'height difference' notwithstanding, Aysuhmann matches Sonam as the two pair up for a lovey dovey love story.

Rishi Kapoor gets to make some amends from his BESHARAM act. His character has been balanced beautifully and he performs gracefully.

BEWAKOOFIYAAN is a love story that is handled with maturity, and although there are a few 'unbelievable' scenes (like the one where Mohit keeps going to his work place to 'play act' to fool Mayera's dad), the youth will relate to it.

It's light, simple and uncomplicated. Straight from the heart!
