Saif Ali Khan's home production, Illuminati Films' have an excellent track record of classy, memorable and popular music (LOVE AAJ KAL, AGENT VINOD, COCKTAIL), and so do young and maverick director duo, Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru! Their films (and music as well!) have succeeded in providing the duo with much critical and commercial success, and together they have carved out a niche for themselves in the Hindi film industry. Things are getting better and bigger for them with each successive film and their latest, GO GOA GONE, which is undoubtedly India's first major zombie comedy (zom-com) has already risen the curiosity of the cine goers who long for some 'hatke' entertainment. Composers Sachin-Jigar who have worked with the duo in their last outing, SHOR - IN THE CITY, have been chosen again. So let's check out the soundtrack that promises much fun and music that is indeed mind blowing (as evident from the promos).

First up is naturally the beach rave party song, 'Slowly Slowly' with such a superb, addictive rhythm that it has instantly caught the fancy of the nation, especially the youth who are simply going ballistic over it! A rollicking crazy trip that rides on trance music with excellent musical arrangements like drum kicks, electric guitar and synthesizers. Lead singers Jigar Saraiya and Talia Benston gel superbly and Priya Panchal's lyrics are tailor stitched for the situation (Goa, party, dope and fun!). Sachin-Jigar have certainly crafted a blockbuster party song.

CHECK OUT: Saif Ali Khan's GO GOA GONE Zombies cater to Indian sensibilities!

'Khoon Choos Le', no it is not some sort of a zombie number, but the perfect anti-Monday theme song that would surely become popular amongst all those who hate Mondays! The USP of the song is surely Amitabh Bhattacharya's apt, zany and hilarious lyrics with a perfect combination of 'shudh Hindi' and English and swear words, and of course Sachin-Jigar's rockish arrangements, especially the extremely rhythmic hookline! Suraj Jagan, Priya Panchal and Arun Kanungo put up emotive renditions and add to the beauty of the number.

One hilariously zany number leading to another, and we have 'Babaji Ki Booty', a conversational, situational track sung by the composer duo-Sachin-Jigar, the director duo, Raj and D.K, Bornalee Deuri with rib ticking 'pravachan'(discourse) type dialogues by Anand Tiwari. Guitar riffs, drum kicks and Chinese flute with sweet female background chorals and cough sounds add to the charm of this number. A totally whacky fun-filled number that is bound to be greeted with smile and laughter and kudos to the composers and lyricist for conjuring up such a number which eulogizes spiritual gurus, 'babaji' and their 'booti' (medicine/ dope) in a light hearted manner.

When we had spoken to director Krishna D.K he had informed us 'there is a slow romantic song that suits the mood', and well it's definitely 'Khushamdeed' that he was hinting at. Rendered by Shreya Ghoshal in her sugary sweet and at times whispering vocals, the soft romantic love ballad does come as a pleasant anti-climax in this all out zany rock album. Nevertheless it's a lovely one as the song is full on melody with lovely acoustic guitar, beads and soft chorals.

CHECK OUT: No romance yet again for Puja Gupta in GO GOA GONE?

The album rounds of with 'I Keel Dead Peepal' (Boris Mix) which is an instrumental with dubstep, and a summary of the movie in general, with humorous dialogues of all the lead protagonists coming into play, accompanied by loud techno background rock music.

Summing up, it's indeed one of Sachin-Jigar's best works till date (after F.A.L.T.U). We agree wholeheartedly with the director, Krishna D.K, who says, ''Every track in GO GOA GONE is essential to the script and has its place in the proceedings. The composers, Sachin-Jigar have done a splendid job.'' The songs are already topping the charts and will definitely go a long way in providing the film with a good opening when it releases worldwide on May 10.
