Expectations are big from the audio of EK PAHELI LEELA, which happens to be the debut directorial venture of Bobby Khan, more so as it is an offering from audio giants T-Series, who are now a premier production house as well. Music by a host of hugely popular new Gen composers (mentioned above) sets things right on track.
Dr. Zeus and Kanika Kapoor (after super hit 'Lovely') come together for yet another chartbusting , addictive song and dance number, 'Desi Look
'. Kumaar's lyrics are functional and in sync.
Composed by Pakistani artist, Uzair Jaswal and recreated well by Amaal Malik, 'Tere Bin Nahi Laage
' (male version) is rendered superbly by Uzair and this heart touching romantic number strikes the right chords instantly.
The female version, where singers like Tulsi Kumar (leading from the front), Dabboo Malik, Aishwarya Nigam and Alam Khan join hands is even better
' presents Tulsi Kumar in yet another light, and she is top notch in the cute item number that has a folksy touch and lovely desi arrangements, composed by Amaal Malik. Kumaar's lyrics are fun and apt.
Meet Bros. Anjjan composed and sung (along with Krishna Beura) 'Glamorous Ankhiyan
' is a nice mix of Rajasthani folk and raga and good arrangements but lyrics specially the mukhda seems out of place in this number.
Sonu Nigam's super hit number (1999), 'Deewana Tera
' (for T-Series) is recreated by Meet Bros Anjjan and sung ably by Arijit Singh and makes for a good reprise.
Meet Bros. Anjjan recreate 'Dhol Baaje
' HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM but overall it is a totally new song with just the 'mukhda
Tony Kakkar's 'Ek Do Teen Chaar
' tries but fails to become the party song, which was the endeavour, as the tune chosen is not addictive or even racy enough. Neha Kakkar joins Tony to render the number with dexterity and lyrics by Tony are innovative.
Summing up, the audio of T-Series' EK PAHELI LEELA meets the expectations with some potential chart toppers like 'Desi Look
', 'Tere Bin Nahi Laage
' and 'Saiyyan Superstar
'. The 'getting popular' audio should aid the cause of this musical love saga, when EK PAHELI LEELA releases all over this April. Music Review Rating Chart :-
