Abhishek gives thumbs up to Hollywood classics

Watching classics on the big screen is what the film buff aspires to do. A classic film festival of timeless Hollywood Movies is being presented by Ray Ban at various PVR Cinemas and in an Inox Theatre across several Cities throughout India from 26th November to 2nd December 2011. Not just the aam janta, but even Abhishek Bachchan, who have been busy promoting KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY gave the festival thumbs up. These classic films, which people of this generation here in India would have mostly watched only on Television or DVDs, will be featured on the big screen, just like any other new release. And for people of yester years, who had seen and loved these films to the core will actually get a chance to relive these films at the theatres, infact with a better ambience this time around.

The films that will be the talk of the town during this festival are BEN - HUR, TEN COMMANDMENTS, Al Pacino starrer GODFATHER, BLUES BROTHERS, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, THE ITALIAN JOB, and CASABLANCA. The cinemas and cities that this grand festival will take place at include- PVR Select City at Delhi, PVR Ambience at Gurgaon, PVR Juhu at Mumbai, PVR Ampa Mall at Chennai, PVR Forum Mall at Bangalore, PVR Central Mall at Hyderabad, and Inox Cinema at Kolkata. All the films will be played in all the cities as mentioned. The festival will start off with BEN-HUR with a launch party of the festival at Mumbai's - PVR Juhu on 26th of November 2010.



Abhishek picked BLUES BROTHERS and BEN-HUR. "These are my all time favourite films, it stands out from my school days," said the actor. "When I saw BEN-HUR for the first time, I was 10, and it was a breathtaking experience. It was directed by William Wyler, one of the greats of the historical genre, which I came to know much later. The climactic chariot race, staged in a huge amphitheatre, is still thrilling. It stayed with me all these years. You have to see it on the biggest screen you can find."

Films which some of the people would have craved to watch for years, but couldn't due to any numerous reasons and finally people who again would love to be mesmerized by super stars like Al Pacino on the big screen will get to cherish moments of a life time with the Rayban Greatest Films at the theatres once again.
