On its release eight years back, MASTI was unique in its own way due to the sex comedy genre that it belonged to. Now for the film's sequel Aftab Shivdasani along with Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh are expected to push the envelope further.

"It is fun shooting for the film. I remember the moment when I got a call for it. In fact more than being a sequel, it is being carried forward as a franchise. The jokes are awesome all over again,'' says Aftab who is known for his comic timing.
While comedy is something that comes naturally to Aftab and he is expected to be quite vociferous in his approach, when it came to the dramatic horror affair 1920: EVIL RETURNS, some out there dubbed his act to be a tad low energy.
CHECK OUT: Aftab didn't compromise on films that didn't excite him
"Well, I respect everyone's opinion but I know what I was doing. I truly believe that underplaying a character is far more difficult than going the whole hog when it comes to mannerisms, dialogue delivery and body language. For 1920 - EVIL RETURNS I had to keep it all under check and I am happy that the character stood for what it was,'' says Aftab.
"If you want to see me loud then well, watch me go totally mad in GRAND MASTI. I am doing that since the film requires me to take that path,'' he smiles before signing off.
