This is one of the unlikeliest of the clashes that could have happened in Bollywood. However this is indeed taking place, what with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and actor Manoj Bajpayee finding themselves on the loggerheads all over again. Their GULAAB GANG and TRAFFIC would be clashing with each other on 7th March. Incidentally, they had found themselves in a similar position 13 years back too.

'That was when TUM BIN and AKS had released on the same day in 2001,' informs a trade Guru, 'Back then, no one gave TUM BIN an iota of a chance since it starred newcomers while AKS boasted of the superstar power of Amitabh Bachchan who was on a comeback spree. Manoj Bajpayee had played a negative lead in there as a spirit.'

As it turned out though, AKS proved to be a disaster at the box office while TUM BIN grew from strength to strength and emerged as a success.

'It is a different scenario now,' says a source, 'This time around it is another star, Madhuri Dixit, who is making a comeback with GULAAB GANG while TRAFFIC is an ensemble affair with a plot driven narrative. Manoj Bajpayee plays a traffic cop in this remake of a Malayalam film.'

Both films are backed by corporate houses. While GULAAB GANG has Sahara Movie Studios stepping into the arena, TRAFFIC has the name Fox Star Studios attached to it.

Hopefully, this time around the clash won't result in only one winner as Madhuri's portrayal of a fiery character as well as Manoj enacting a headstrong personality promises good fireworks on-screen.
