Set in the pre-independence era, India is plotting to fight against the British Raj. While on the other hand filmmaker (Saif Ali Khan) entertains the soldiers using his actress Julia (Kangana Ranaut) who is also his love life. In the turn of events the filmmaker sends Julia to Burma to safeguard his ulterior motives.
Interestingly Julia meets Malik (Shahid) and it leads to the onset of a passionate love story between Julia and Malik. The filmmaker comes to know about their affair and then begins the story of deceit. Who will Julia chose to be with to know this we will have to wait for the film which is releasing on 24th February.
That was the story of the film, but unfortunately the trailer fails to leave an impact on you, considering it’s a Vishal Bhardwaj (maker of OMKARA, HAIDER, MAQBOOL, KAMINEY, MAKDEE) product. The VFX, the production, the set up looked very unconvincing. Saif’s look seems to be inspired from THE GREAT GATSBY while the passionate love sequence between Shahid and Kangana looks flimsy. When it’s a Vishal Bhardwaj film you naturally tend to expect a lot but this trailer falls short in expectations and doesn’t provide that kind of excitement.
While the trailer failed to please us, may be the film changes our opinion when it releases. So all we can do right now is to patiently wait for the film to hit the silver screens in February.
