Madhavan a.k.a. Maddy, who plays one of the idiots in 3 IDIOTS is in acute pain. Despite advised not to indulge in any strenuous activities for next few weeks at least due to a damaged knee, he isn't willing to take rest. Promoting 3 IDIOTS quite rigorously, he is willing to take the risk at least till the film's release post which he would slow down his pace.

"I don't care for the moment though", smiles Madhavan who is quite happy with the kind of buzz that 3 IDIOTS has managed to create from the word 'go', "Along with the rest of the cast and crew, it is my responsibility to make sure that 3 IDIOTS is seen and heard all over. I don't mind stretching a little extra."

It has been 8 months since Madhavan has been carrying the knee injury. Incidentally, it was 3 IDIOTS itself which is responsible for this.

"I was playing badminton with some students in the campus during the shoot of the film and suffered this injury. I realised it's seriousness as a few days passed by. Doctors had advised good rest even then but the shooting was on so that was out of question. In fact you would even observe that in some portions of the film, I am wearing a knee bandage", says Madhavan who was seen in a special appearance in SIKANDAR earlier this year.

What are his plans for the weeks to follow? With a little over a month to go for the film's release (3 IDIOTS arrives on 25th December), does he foresee any immediate period of relaxation?

"I don't think so", he chuckles, "We have been going through unveiling the first look of 3 IDIOTS which was soon followed by music release. There are many more promotional activities lined up. It's ok. I have to be just a little carefully not to bend my knee again. I will take precautions though I can't help being active."
