As expected all the new releases of this week- Ramgopal Varma's NOT A LOVE STORY, Ajay Chandhok's CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR and the Parvin Dabas directed SAHI DHANDHE GALAT BANDE - failed to impress at the ticket window.

Moving on to the details, despite all the hype and associated controversy, NOT A LOVE STORY could not open to even average collections barring a few multiplexes of West and South India. The collections were by and large dull to weak. The second release, CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR, saw limited patronage at some single screens of the Hindi belt but that is about all! The last release of the week, SAHI DHANDHE GALAT BANDE, was out rightly rejected from the first show itself and is likely to be removed mid-week from many cinemas.

CHECK OUT: Bollywood box-office report of the week

Ironic as it may sound but that is good news for last week's AARAKSHAN (no longer banned in U.P.), which is estimated to have netted 32-33 crore in the first week, as also SINGHAM in Mumbai circuit and ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA at the multiplexes.
