Rani Mukerji took a maternity leave post birth of her first child Adira. Adira has turned a year old and now mommy Rani is all set to make a comeback on silver screen with Siddharth P Malhotra’s HICHKI.
HICHKI is an inspiring film as it traces the story of a woman who turns her biggest weakness into her biggest strength. Talking about this film, Rani revealed, “I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and HICHKI came my way. Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won’t come in the way of achieving our dreams. HICHKI is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up.”
HICHKI is the first film that Siddharth will be making for Yash Raj Films, while Maneesh Sharma will be producing his third film as a producer for the banner.
Rani was last seen on screen in 2014, in Pradeep Sarkar’s MARDAANI as a police woman.
