The film, which is based on a true incident, has various levels and lot of parallel tracks running together. DAM999 portrays the realities of life. Director Sohan Roy once claimed that the concept of DAM999 is the hero of the film. And talented actors like Rajit are made for character-driven roles. So, one wonders what really induced Rajit to take up a film like DAM999. However the talented actor has his own reason. Says Rajit, "The role and the concept of this film is pretty interesting. Moreover, the energy and enthusiasm of first time directors is really invigorating. Also this film has the cast from different parts of the world. So all these factors were appealing enough for me to do the film."

Call it Rajit's sixth sense or he's developed a special quality of identifying a perfect script that whichever film he chooses either turns out to be an award-winning venture or highly acclaimed film. However the modest actor just laughs off and says, "I don't think so. Whatever I find exciting or challenging enough I do it. And that excitement could be anything - working with different people or the intriguing script or the environment around etc."
Further Rajit states that DAM999 is one of its kind films. "Yes DAM999 is one of its kind films, very unique. It has lot of drama and made in 3D," says Rajit. He also praises debutant director Sohan's work. "He's complete outsider and didn't know anything about filmmaking but this man had a vision and he fulfilled it excellently."
Ask him after spending more than a decade in the industry if he wishes to get into direction or turning producer and he says, "I would like to if something interesting comes my way."
About his forthcoming projects he says, "I am currently working on a film called DELHI EYE, supposedly entertaining commercial film."
