Rehan Khan. The name may not possibly ring a bell. After a modest debut in JAANA - LET'S FALL IN LOVE, he played a small, though important part, in Emraan Hashmi starrer AWARAPAN. However, when he signed his first major film FAST FORWARD, he couldn't quite celebrate the achievement as he lost his father, Late Sharukh Mirza (writer of KASME VAADE), the very next day.

"I was learning the hard way of balancing my personal and professional life", says an emotionally charged Rehan, "It was a roller coaster ride for me because soon after my dad passed away, I had to get into the rehearsals for the film. I couldn't differentiate between real v/s reel emotions since I was going through a really difficult phase myself."

Since his father had been a part of the industry for quite a few years, his teachings came in handy.

"He used to tell me that the show must always go on. He educated me that one should treat producer's money as his own money. All these experiences taught me so much. I became a man at 26", Rehan tries to bring on a smile here.

He continues to believe though that his dad is around him till date.

"Yes, I truly believe so", says Rehan, "Sometimes God has his own ways of shaping your personality. Even I am changed. Just like Shah Rukh says that he wishes if his mother was there to see his success, even I wish if my father was there to see the release of FAST FORWARD. I am sure he would be proud to see my work."

FAST FORWARD is releasing on 25th September.
