Though VJ-turned-actor Rhea Chakraborty’s first film MERE DAD KI MARUTI with India’s premier film banner YRF was a small budgeted film, her second outing BANK CHOR with the coveted production house of Bollywood is being made on a huge scale.

BANK CHOR is a comic-caper that tells the story of three morons trying to rob a bank who pick the worst day possible when everything goes wrong. The film is about how they are inadvertently caught in the crossfire of policemen, industrialists, corrupt politicians, and a CBI officer who makes their lives difficult.

While Vivek plays a CBI officer who takes on Riteish, a goon leading a gang of bank thieves, Rhea Chakraborty essays the role of a news reporter in the film.

''It's a huge film and I am very excited. So far I have not been part of a film which has been very big in terms of scale and I have an interesting part in BANK CHOR. I am playing the role of a news reporter. It’s way different from MERE DAD KI MARUTI, SONALI CABLE and everything else that I have done. It’s a very quirky role, very in-between the space. I just can’t wait for BANK CHOR to come out,'' says the chirpy babe.

Further talking about her co-stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi, who are much senior to her, Rhea says, ''Riteish Deshmukh is a damn cool actor and then there’s Vivek out there, who is no less. These guys have done and achieved a lot. Having spent more than a decade in the industry, they know their thing well. It’s very different when you are working with newcomers and with people who have been working for a while. They have lot to say in rehearsals and readings.''

BANK CHOR is directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil. The film is scheduled to go on the floors immediately and is planned for an early 2015 release.
