They have played on-screen friends quite a number of times and created some good 'dhamaal' but off screen it may soon take a shape of war for supremacy. Both Riteish Deshmukh as well as Arshad Warsi are fast becoming favourites when it comes to being regulars in the sequels and are currently battling it out for maximum number of sequels in hand. Even though Riteish is being seen in a standalone film like TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA while Arshad Warsi is happy shooting for JOLLY LLB, it is the sequels that would keep them engaged for most part of 2012.

'The kind of positioning they have in the industry, both Riteish as well as Arshad are on the top of the list when it comes to multi-starrer sequels. In fact similar kind of roles is being written for them. Most of the films that they do are hardcore comedies and due to majority of them being successful, they are fighting it out for 'sequel' supremacy,' says an industry observer.

So while Riteish is a part of sequels like HOUSEFULL 2 and KYAA SUPER KOOL HAI HUM Arshad is busy with MUNNABHAI 3 and DEDH ISHQIYA. Moreover there is one common franchise between them, DHAMAAL. However with Arshad also boasting of super successful GOLMAAL series, the ball is in Riteish's court to catch up fast.

'Both Riteish and Arshad are vouching for the same space since all said and done; sequels are what have ensured good momentum in their career. They would never let go off successful franchises and though they would now come together next in TOTAL DHAMAAL which is third in the series of DHAMAAL, it is clear that they want more films to be made in their respective franchises,' adds a source.

Let the rivalry continue. After all, it is the audience which is eventually set to gain.
