Coming soon: An all new Salman Khan for Sajid's KICK

Salman Khan and producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala are changing gears with KICK . Even though the film is a remake of the namesake South hit, the two friends are making sure that it is as contemporary as it gets with a pan-India appeal. Buzz is that Salman's KICK is many notches ahead of the Ravi Teja starrer.

'The idea is to make KICK at least on par, if not ahead, of the biggies that Bollywood has delivered of late,' a source attached to the film informs, 'As a matter of fact, even the original KICK (in Telugu) was quite stylized with its action bearing an international touch. Hence, the idea for Sajid and Salman is to capitalize on the platform available and make it as huge as it can get.'

In fact barring EK THA TIGER which had quite a few stunts on the same lines as international action affairs, Salman has relied - and seen good success - on the kind of blows that the action directors from down South have devised for him in films like WANTED, DABANGG, READY, BODYGUARD and DABANGG 2. It is going to be different though with KICK where Sajid is said to have given an altogether different dimension to the action- entertainer.

Meanwhile, for those quintessential 'bhai' fans, Salman is not alienating himself since one can't think of taking away the intrinsic charm of Salman. Hence, while the film's mounting would be classy and action served up at international standards, Salman would continue to play to the gallery, sing songs, dance with his leading lady, indulge in comedy and also mouth those seeti-maar dialogues. None of that is going away.

Well, we like that!
