SHREYAS TALPADE and SUBHASH GHAI
The last two times that maverick actor Shreyas Talpade and ex-showman Subhash came together, IQBAL and APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY, the results have been quite positive. IQBAL was not only a commercial success but a highly acclaimed one too and as for ASMM, the film made some decent profit. In both the cases, Shreyas was highly appreciated and a lot of credit was bestowed on the young, aspiring actor. Subhash Ghai needs to be congratulated for seeing Shreyas's acting potential early on and giving him a break in the Nagesh Kukunoor directed, IQBAL.

However, it is now Shreyas' turn to bail out his mentor, who is going through a rough phase after the flopping of his musical extravaganza YUVVRAAJ, which starred the top artists of the industry like Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Apparently, Mukta Arts have high hopes from Shreyas Talpade's next, PAYING GUESTS-CHIPAK GAYE (earlier CHAAR YAAR), a comedy based on Paritosh Painter's superhit theatre play, which ran for 2 years in the US, UK, UAE and India. The film also stars Jaaved Jaffery, Ashish Chowdhry Vatsal Seth, Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen, Sayali Bhagat, Asrani etc and is being directed by Paritosh Painter himself. The film is naturally a comedy as can be gauged by its title. And since Shreyas is now a reasonably big star, especially where comedy films are concerned, his WELCOME TO SAJJANPUR and GOLMAAL RETURNS (being perfect examples of the genre), were hits just last year. Naturally expectations are high from this versatile actor to deliver and thus end Mukta Art's dry run at the ticket window.
