What crossed our mind is the way some seemingly simple dialogues become iconic (like Tigmanshu's very own - Tumse na ho payega from Anurag's GOW II), as opposed to some laced great ones which fail to make an impact.
CHECK OUT: Tigmanshu Dhulia to play baddie against Amitabh Bachchan!
We wanted to get the views of the reputed director, and Tigmanshu had some interesting observations, ''You are hundred percent right! Who would have thought that Tera kya hoga kaaliya, Sarkar maine aap ka namak khaya hai etc, (from SHOLAY), would become immortal! Coming to my own dialogue that you mentioned, actually Anurag Kashyap and me (both directors) were having a healthy debate on how to go about a difficult shot, and after a while I said Tumse na ho payega, and eureka we decided to use it, and as you say it has become a favourite sentence of the campus crowd, even today! So you see one can never predict what exactly will hit off in a big way. Some superb dialogues/one liners from immortal makers (would not like to name them) just did not get the deserved due!''
Well, as we await Tigmanshu's next we are sure and hope for another entertaining National Award winning work, because we know tumse zaroor ho payega (Tigmanshu you can do it)!
