After directing a children's film, CHILLAR PARTY in 2011, National award winning director Vikas Bahl is gearing up for his second film, QUEEN, touted as a woman centric movie.

Ask him about it and he says, ''It is the story of anyone. I have shown it of a girl but could have been of a boy. It is not woman oriented. I just feel girls are more interesting to watch than guys. Guys don't know what to do. They will be like let's go back and discuss some more girls,'' laughs Vikas.

So why did he choose Kangana Ranaut for the role? ''I knew Kangana is not Rani (character's name) but I knew she is very familiar and has grown up with such girls. Kangana is a good observant and very intelligent. So I knew she could get a lot to the character which even I as a guy can't write. That's the reason why I wanted to work only with Kangana. That is the best decision I have taken,'' says the filmmaker.

Kangana, who was last seen in KRRISH 3 and RAJJO, has carved her own niche so much so that there are comparisons drawn between her and Vidya Balan, who is known for being a trendsetter. Ask Vikas about his opinion on this and he says,, ''Vidya has done very well for herself. But I hope QUEEN does for Kangana what DEEWAR did for Amitabh Bachchan.'' Isn't that too much to expect? ''Well definitely not. I am seeing her no less than Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan or Sunny Deol,'' retorts Vikas.
