‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ trailer has arrived and it looks promising.
Netflix has dropped the official trailer for the upcoming fantasy series ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ just days ahead of its world premiere.
The supernatural drama is actually a live-action ‘reimagining’ of Nickelodeon’s animated series ‘Winx Club’ which originated from the mind of Iginio Straffi, per Digitalspy.
According to Collider, the six-part series is created by Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries) and revolves around five fairies – Bloom, Stella, Aisha, Terra, and Musa – who attend a magical boarding school called Alfea.
The official synopsis for ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ is as follows: “A live-action reimagining of the Italian animated series Winx Club, which has existed in various forms since 2004, Netflix’s grittier take “follows the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence.”
The show’s cast includes Abigail Cowen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt (Normal People) as Terra, and Elisha Applebaum as Musa. The series also features Sadie Soverall as Beatrix, Danny Griffin as Sky, Freddie Thorp (A Discovery of Witches) as Riven, Theo Graham as Dane and Jacob Dudman (The Stranger) as Sam, Josh Cowdery (Legends), Robert James-Collier (Downton Abbey), Eve Best (Nurse Jackie), Alex Macqueen (Peaky Blinders), and Eva Birthistle (The Last Kingdom), per TVLine.
‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ premieres on Netflix on January 22nd.
