RAW DAYS movie review
What appears to be a fly- on- the – wall observation of a routine life of a taxi driver from UP in Shailendra Singh’s part indie and part mainstream approach, RAW DAYS finds a purpose during the end reels.

Told through the eyes of an observer where the protagonist and other characters are not called by names makes it a unique quirky experience.

Right from the first passenger Yashpal Sharma to the father Brij Bhushan Shukla to the pimp Ashrut Jain to the mother Teena Singh, daughter Jiya and the RTO officer, people are hiding something, are in a hurry and are coping with their inner demons.

A day to day struggle in the life of people from different section of the society, Shailendra Singh RAW DAYS is a quirky mirror of fact in front of the dreams and fantasies.

Deepak Dobriyal is fantastic and good support comes from Ashrut Jain, Jiya Chetan Pitroda, Yashpal Sharma, Brij Bhushan Shukla and Teena Singh.

The problem is that the observation of the taxi driver lacks the contrast from the other side. We don,t get any peep into the world of the taxi driver. He is just a follower like the audience he may be a meta but we needed to know more…

Final words
In spite of a single minded approach, it cannot be denied that Shailendra Singh’s RAW DAYS is an instigating mirror on the extra ordinary struggles of ordinary people. Take a shot.
