Arindam Sil’s ‘Byomkesh Hotyamancha’ has been released throughout West Bengal in theaters amidst a major audience. Based on Sharadindu Bandopadhyay’s incomplete Byomkesh Bakshi story ‘Bishupal Bodh’, it is set in the tumultuous Naxalite uprising in Bengal in 1971. In a story of vengeance when Byomkesh Bakshi decides to attend a play at the theatre and becomes witness to a crime unfolding on the center stage. As Byomkesh Bakshi digs deep into the case, it opens him to a tripartite story of love, betrayal and infidelity. Not only does the film come in a complete package of entertainment but also promises to be the perfect family watch during the festive week and upcoming.
The film is already receiving huge appreciation from the audience. ‘Byomkesh Hotyamancha’ is not limited to a mere predictable story here it has a lot more to it, as the film works in layers.
Produced by SVF and Camellia, many powerful faces of Bengali film industry including Abir Chatterjee, Paoli Dam, Sohini Sarkar, Suhotra Mukherjee, Anusha Vishwanathan will be seen playing prominent characters in the film along with a stellar subordinate cast. Actress Paoli Dam joined the Byomkesh franchise for the first time .The film also stars Kinjal Nanda, Arno Mukherjee, Padmanabha Dasgupta in pivotal roles.

The additional details which were put in an already monumental inscription were very minutely thought. It has been worthwhile working with a huge team and creating the chamber drama. The music of the film is aced by maestro Bickram Ghosh.
