Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has turned 20 today. The show that introduced the ever valiant bahu Tulsi Virani, played by Smriti Irani, to the viewers turned a huge success in no time and the female protagonist became a household name.

When it comes to Indian TV shows,how can one forget the super-hit series ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ which started in 2000 and ran for eight long years.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has turned 20 today. The show that introduced the ever valiant bahu Tulsi Virani, played by Smriti Irani, to the viewers turned a huge success in no time and the female protagonist became a household name.

The cast of the show including Smriti Irani, Amar Upadhyay, Ronit Roy, Apara Mehta and the others have all drastically changed over the years and are busy with their respective work.

The story is set in the backdrop of Gujarat, the show was about an ideal daughter in-law Tulsi who was married to Mihir Virani, the grandson of a rich businessman, and the up and downs in their life. Though the show started with a simple story, it is best remembered for the surreal twists and turns in its story.
