‘The Luminaries’ a lust for gold begins

The Luminaries is a six part BBC One drama based on novel by Eleanor Catton. It is a 19th century adventure mystery drama set in the midst of New Zealand’s 1860’s gold rush period, it has series of unsolved crimes, love, revenge.

The Luminaries an intricately woven, suspenseful tale of love, magic, revenge and the lust for gold, set at the far end of the world. The story is about Walter Moody, a prospector who travels to the fledgling West Coast settlement of Hokitika in rush of gold, but instead, he stumbles into a tense meeting between twelve local men and is drawn into a complex mystery that is covering up a series of unsolved crimes. The twelve men are associated with one of the twelve signs of the zodiac.

The story involves Anna Wetherell a young adventurer performed by Eve Hewson the daughter of U2 star Bono. Her first major role was in the drama film ‘This Must Be the Place’ (2011). She played Nurse Lucy Elkins in Steven Soderbergh’s TV series The Knick (2014–2015).

The Luminaries a set of six miniseries the first 3 series are Fingerprint, The Place You Return & Leverage, shall begin on 21st June 2020 Sunday on BBC One. The below mentioned is the cast:
